Knutsvik was formally the farm of the district magistrate in Ryfylke. Magistrate Georg Daniel Barth administrated Ryfylke from Knutsvik in the late 1700’s. He was also a fruit growing pioneer and fruit growing is still the main business on the farm. We grow apples, pears and plums.

Knutsvik Fjordferie holiday homes/cabins offers boat rentals with cabin rental in a great fishing area. There is a covered fish cleaning area with lights and running water in the boathouse on the dock only 50 meters from the cabins.

We also have a private beach for swimming, paddle-boarding or just enjoying the sun only a few meters from the holiday homes.

20 mins drive to nearest grocery store. If you drive 7 minutes to the Nesvik-Hjelmeland ferry, you can park the car and go shopping on the other side.
40 minutes to Skiing area Gullingen. It has illuminated cross country tracks and downhill skiing in the winter months.
There is a hiking guide in each cabin with all of our local hiking trails in Jøsneset. Easy to difficult hikes with beautiful views of mountains and fjords.

About the cabins

The holiday homes are two stories high:

Ground floor
Kitchen, living room, laundry room
Bathroom w/sauna, jetted garden bathtub and large shower
Double bedroom w/private bathroom
1/2 bathroom
Heated floors throughout
Large deck with ocean and mountain view

Upper floor
2 single bedrooms with twin size bunk beds
1 double bedroom w/private bathroom

Our holiday homes are identical and can house 8 guest each.
Fully furnished including cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, toilet paper and paper towels.
Bed linens and towels are available for NOK 200 per person. We prefer for you to leave the cabin as clean as it was upon your arrival, but a minimum NOK 1000 cleaning fee can be arranged.
