Ytterdal Camping

Birds eye view of Eidsdal Ytterdal Camping is to be located at the centre of the valley of Eidsdal, on the south side of the Norddal Fjord.

Run by a family, Ytterdal Camping was founded by the grandparents of the current owners back in 1955. Many of our guests from the 1950s have been visiting us every year since then!

A map of Møre og Romsdal Ytterdal Camping has no shop or kiosk within its area - the needs are met right outside our property: Only one hundred meters to the nearest shops, café, pub, post office, bank, telephone, booth, and public means of transportation.

The scenery of Eidsdal is overwhelming:

View from Gjerdeneset at Eidsdal Mountains that even here in the Fjords are unique in their majesty and splendour, farms situated higher above the sea level than summer farms, and valleys that are broken up not only in terraces but also in branch valleys longitudinally.

Eidsdal is an excellent starting point for mountains hikes, fishing trips ans visits to other parts of Sunnmøre. An ideal area for holidaying! It takes one and a half hour to drive west to Ålesund, and less than 30 minutes south to Geiranger.

The season starts on April 1 and ends on October 1. We recommend all seasons, but springtime is particularly beautiful with blossoming orchards and fishing in the fjord. The autumn is lovely too - the splendour of the mountains and delicious berries... Eidsdal has a good salomon river, which has given a real challenge and a great treat to many anglers.
